Holidays are a welcome break in everyday life.
“Everyone likes or celebrates different holidays,” Edison Hix, junior, said.
The most liked holiday is Christmas followed by Halloween.
“Christmas is a time to get together with your family and spread cheer,” Silas Cruise, School Resource Officer, said.
“Christmas is bright, colorful, and warm in a dark and cold time,”Amanda Keith, math teacher, said.
Some people like Christmas for the religious aspect.
“Christmas is my favorite holiday,” Abigail Chivis, sophomore, said, “It’s the day Jesus was born, and that’s a great reason to celebrate”.
Halloween is the favorite of some.
“Halloween is a day people can express who they truly are without feeling ashamed of getting judged for it,” Hix said. “We can wear masks and hide behind it and be who you are without shame.
“Holidays give importance to the day and highlights being around and having fun with the people you love most,” Hix said, “and that’s what holidays are all about.”
