Christmas is a time to bond and to spend time with family.
Many people love Christmas break and think that it’s the perfect amount of time to enjoy with family.
“I love Christmas break!” Leah Waggoner, a freshman, said. “I like Christmas break because I get to spend quality time with my family, sleep in, and don’t have to worry about school or grades or drama. Not only that, but me and my family have this tradition where me and my siblings all decorate the Christmas tree together.”
“I like Christmas break because we get out of school for two weeks to spend time with friends and family,” Madison Busby, sophomore, said. “Me and my mom go shopping together for Christmas and buy a lot of presents. “It’s perfect, because we get two weeks off school for Christmas. Three months later we have spring break, then it’s summer break.”
Others love Christmas break but don’t think it changes school life.
“I love Christmas break, but it doesn’t change school drama,” Addely Guillen, freshman, said. “I say it improves their mental health because it gives them a break from all the stress of maintaining friendships, grades, appearances, but it doesn’t improve their school life since they’re actively at school, just their outside life.”
