Students loved the first snow day, but by the fourth day, they were stressed.
Many were stressed about the missed work waiting for them when they returned.
For others, the much-needed rest was the best.
“Being able to sleep in and spend time with my family was the best part about having snow days, Kailynn Stone, senior, said. “The snow days did put me behind on my core school work especially Pre-Cal.”
Others agreed.
“I liked being able to sleep in and be comfortable during the snow days because that is a rare occurrence for me,” Isabel Wyatt, senior, said. “The break caused a lot of basketball games for this week to be rescheduled to a later date which disrupts any future plans I had for those reschedule dates because I’m a cheerleader for this team.”
“I got a lot of needed rest and slept, but I also was productive and cleaned my room, decorated my house for Christmas, and played with my cat, Gracie, in the snow,” Wyatt said.
“When I first found out that school was cancelled, I was happy because it finally gave me a chance to get some extra rest,” Sydney Ward, senior, said. “I made hot chocolate with my brothers and played with my dog, Benny, in the snow for a while until we got too cold,” Ward said.
