Christmas is a time of giving and sharing with others.
During the holidays, families often connect and spend time together.
“The holidays should be spent with others,” Jackson Hatcher, freshman, said. “Spending time with your family during Christmas can bring your family closer and bring you all together. When spending time with family during Christmas, you get to give gifts to others, eat food together, and create memories with the people you love. Having family together will make Christmas more joyful and jolly since people are spending time together.”
“Families should connect and spend time together during Christmas,” Taylor Garcia-Martinez, freshman, said. “Spending time with your loved ones can be a fun and memorable experience. When your family is together during the holidays, it builds your bond together, and it can make your family members feel less lonely since they are all together and having a fun time.”
“People should be with family when it’s Christmas,” Madison Busby, sophomore, said.” Creating memories and having a joyful time with your family can be a fun way to spend your holidays. When spending time with family, you get to bond with people that you haven’t seen in a long time, and that can be exciting since you have missed them and wanted to spend time with them because of your time apart.”
Some people disagree that families should be together.
“Families shouldn’t invite people over to spend the holidays together,” Dixie Fuqua, freshman, said.”During the holidays, everything is packed, and the roads have traffic, making it hard for people to get anywhere; but if you stay home, nobody will be stressed about going out. Also, if you go to see family during the holiday, you might see some family you dislike, but if you stay away from family, you can avoid causing a fight at the family Christmas. Christmas is a time for giving gifts and creating memories, but many people believe it’s just about receiving gifts and nothing else, so if you stay home, you don’t need to be around family members who are just there for the gifts and don’t care about givingĀ to others or family.”
