Favorite Thanksgiving Sides

CHS teachers enjoy different delicious Thanksgiving sides.

“I love my wife’s sweet potato souffle,” said Mr. Gary Poindexter, science department. “I have liked sweet potatoes since childhood. It’s one of my favorite seasonal sides because it fits the fall ambiance.”

Most of the teachers had the same favorite side.

“I like stuffing. I like it because it tastes good. I like it with turkey broth. My mom cooks the turkey, and she makes it super juicy,” said Mr. Roger Maxfield. “Another side that I like is sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. I like sweet potatoes the best.”

“My favorite sides for Thanksgiving are stuffing, macaroni and cheese, a big fat biscuit, butter beans, and sweet potato casserole with crunches on top,” said Mrs. Wendy Kapp. “My mom makes it all. Out of all of them, I personally like the stuffing the best because it’s bread, and it has the herbs that make it taste so good.”

“My favorite side, and the greatest food in general is stuffing with gravy,” said Mrs. Erin Hall. “I love stuffing that either my mom or my mother-in-law makes. The breadcrumbs just make it so good; there is just something about their stuffing that is just amazing.”
