Students prefer Christmas over Halloween.
“I like Christmas more, but I don’t really get to celebrate Halloween, and I don’t like scary stuff anyways” Lillian Macclugage, freshman, said. “On Christmas you get gifts and you get really good food. I think Christmas isn’t really all about the gifts though, It’s about the time you spend with family and friends, celebrating a new year that is to come.”
“Christmas is really fun to celebrate.” Damien Morris, freshman, said. “I go to my grandmas every Christmas, and we open gifts and eat food. I even get to see my cousins that I don’t normally see a lot.”
“I like Halloween better than Christmas because Christmas is so overrated,” Larry Ramey, freshman, said. “I like dressing up then just opening a box. Why do people even like Christmas? It’s not even celebrated for what it’s supposed to be celebrated for.”
“Halloween is too scary; Christmas is full of joy, which I like,” Riley Thompson, freshman, said. “On Christmas, I get things that I’ve wanted all year; last Christmas I got a PlayStation 5, and I was incredibly happy!”
“Halloween is better than Christmas because with Christmas, I have to go out and buy people gifts. Halloween is my type of vibe because it’s scary, and I love decorating my house to be scary.” Kimberly Satterfield, said. “I love decorating my house with zombies or skeleton rather than lights.”
