The girls’ basketball team remains undefeated in the Dogwood District.

The Lady Cavs have an exceptional record for this season with a total of 16 wins and three losses.

The girls have continuously pulled through several obstacles to win these games.

The girls traveled to Appomattox High School recently to play the Lady Raiders.

The game was filmed live and the stands were packed full with people because the teams are in the top two of the district.

The Lady Cavs had a slow start.

The Lady Cavs were up in the first half with a score of 19-13.

After a talk with their head coach, Lauren French, the ladies picked it up in the second half.

They were determined to go home with a win, and they did just that.

“My teammates and I pulled through to win this game. We have come such a long way this season. Losing was simply not an option,” said Kierra Price, senior.

With the record the girls have this season, they are currently the team to beat.

To keep the winning streak going, the girls put in a lot of work on and off the court.

“People see the wins, but they don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. We have to endure a lot, but our coaches push us to be the best we can be,” said Tiyara Fitzgerald, senior.

With the support of their fans and family, their coach’s tough love, and their own determination and passion, the Lady Cavs unceasingly come together to accomplish winning these games.
