What Are Students’ Plans for Easter?

The Easter holiday will arrive soon, and students at CHS have different plans for the day.

Several will attend church in the early morning.

“I’m going to church,” Monica McCoy, sophomore, said.

“I will go to church, then be with my family,” Kinslee Cassell, freshman, said.

“I’m going to go to church,” Colin Soyars, freshman, said.

“I’m going to church in the morning,” James Elliott, freshman, said. “After church, I will go home and sleep.”

Many will attend church and gather with their loved ones afterwards to eat.

“I’m going to praise the Lord at church in my pretty Easter dress because He rose,” MarKayla Mayo, freshman, said. “Then, I’m going to eat and go to sleep.”

“I’m going to church and having dinner at my grandparents’ house,” Aubrey Alderson, sophomore, said.

“I have to do a play at my church, and I’m going to get together with my family to eat afterwards,” Savannah Reynolds, freshman, said.

“I’m going to church then eating with my family,” Chase Adkins, freshman, said.

“I’m going to wake up and eat some McDonald’s before church,” Aaron Riley, freshman, said. “After church, I’m going to eat lunch at El Vallarta. After lunch, I’ll go home and do nothing until we have a cookout at 6 p.m.”

“I will go to church and a cookout,” Miky’an King, senior, said.

A couple of students will eat with friends and family.

“I’m going to my grandma’s cookout,” Ameyea Murphy, junior, said.

“I’m going to a cookout,” Mykaela Logan, freshman, said.

Some will be traveling.

“I’m going to be on a cruise,” Peyton Owen, freshman, said.

“We celebrated Easter last Saturday at my mom’s store by having live bunnies come there to take pictures with, and she had like Easter egg decorations,” Haven Jones, freshman, said. “On Easter morning, we’re going to wake up and go to church and then probably get something to eat. After we go out to eat, we are leaving for Destin, Florida.”

“I will go to Pennsylvania to see my aunt and uncle,” Brooklyn Rigney, freshman, said.

A few will attend Easter egg hunts.

“I’m going to church,” Makayla Lewis, freshman, said. “Then, I’m going to my grandma’s house, and I’m doing an Easter egg hunt and eating some good old food,”

“All my family is getting together at my granny’s house, and we’re going to look for eggs that have money in them and then eat food,” Karlee Sims, freshman, said.

Caitlynn Hawkins, junior, will spend time with her family while they do a fun activity.

“I think we will have everybody over for like a big lunch/dinner and then dye Easter eggs,” Hawkins said.

Various students will spend time with their loved ones.

“I’ll just hang out with family,” Austin Bradley, freshman, said.

“I’m going to hang out with my boyfriend, Aaron, play some softball, and eat a lot of food that I don’t need,” Abigail Custer, freshman, said.

“I’ll probably go to my grandparents’ house,” Nathan Gatewood, freshman, said.

“I will hang out with my girlfriend, Lindsey,” Eli Kazmier, junior, said.

Several will spend time to themselves.

“I won’t do much of anything,” Victoria Stevens, freshman, said.

“I’ll probably sit at home all day,” Makenna Striker, freshman, said.

“I will do nothing much,” Yahya Taim, freshman, said.
