Easter can be a time of fun traditions for families.
Many students still wake up to an Easter basket no matter how old they are.
“My mom gets my brother and me a basket every year, but as I have gotten older they have started being less kid-like and more related to what I like now,” Autumn Cassell, junior, said.
“My mom still gets my brother and me baskets, but they are not as big as they were when we were little,” Madison Swanson, junior, said. “A tradition my family has is that my family gathers and eats breakfast at my grandma’s house, and we dye eggs. Then, using those eggs, we have an egg hunt in her yard. After we have our egg hunt, we take the dyed eggs and throw them at trees and watch them explode,” Swanson said.
“My mom gets me a basket each year, but the gifts aren’t as big as they were when I was little,” Hannah Wilson, junior, said. “The only tradition my family has is when we get together each evening and eat dinner and give each other gifts,” Wilson said.
“Our only tradition is that my family always goes to the movies after church,” Aziyah Greene, junior, said.
“My parents still give my sisters and me little baskets with treats and a gift card each year,” Mary Ross, junior, said. “My family doesn’t have many traditions, but we do go to church and dye eggs to play games with,” Ross said.
