Hocus Pocus 2 was highly anticipated by students and teachers.

Most people agree…It was only ..okay.

Although the original Hocus Pocus is a classic Fall/Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus 2 was a let down to many.

“I didn’t like how modern it was,” said Lily Scarce, sophomore. “I know it was supposed to be set in current time, but the modern witchcraft was cringy. There was a mixture of modern witchcraft with ficitional witchcraft and it didn’t mix well.”

There were things that viewers enjoyed enough to continue to watch  the movie.

“My favorite character was Gilbert because he was funny,” says Adam Tate.

“I enjoyed the cute dancing and songs,” says Ally Reid.

Overall Hocus Pocus 2 was just average and nothing special, but it had a good theme.

“The overall theme of Hocus Pocus 2 is arguably what greed will cost,” says Allison Haran. “Winnifred wanted all the power, unfortunately at the ill fate of her sisters. After thinking of it, it is a great theme in 2022. What will your deepest desires cost you? While it may not be as serious as your siblings, it is something to think about especially in regards to social media.”
