Bubba’s is Leaving

After 60 years, Bubba’s Ice Cream in Danville is moving to 2455 Franklin Turnpike.

They are leaving 2626 North Main Street.

“We’re moving, but we’re only moving two miles down the road,” said John Arnone, owner of Bubba’s Ice Cream. “So, we expect to keep our our old customers and also establish new relationships with new customers.”

Bubba’s Ice Cream has been a well loved asset to Pittsylvania County and Danville.

This move allows more space and room for a drive thru.

“Delicious,” said School Resource Officer Silas Crews. “Make that money.”

Many people are happy about the move.

“It’ll be right next to my house,” said Chase Hall, gym teacher. “I’m going to eat Bubba’s every day.”

But some think the move will not be so good.

“I think some people lose business when they move location,” said Melissa Gery, Spanish teacher.

Bubba’s plans to be moved in by March.
