The Lady Cavs won the playoff game against the Lady Bulldogs.

The girls pulled off an astonishing win with a leading score of 56-34.

“My teammates and I knew the importance of this game. We pulled together and worked as a team to win this game,” said Cora Liggon, sophomore.

Since the ladies beat Martinsville in the playoffs, the girls will be advancing to regionals.

“I’m excited for regionals. We have come a long way this season, and I know we can go even farther,” said Kierra Price, senior.

They will be traveling to Radford University this Thursday to play Glenvar in the semifinals.

Even though the Highlanders have a seasonal record of 12-11, they may serve as competition for the Lady Cavs.

“I’m not sure how the game will turn out Friday. All I can do is give it my all and hope for the best,” said Tiyara Fitzgerald, senior.

The girls will advance to the championship game if they beat Glenvar Friday.

The Lady Cavs have to be on top of their game this week in order to pull off another win.
