The Prom Committee is selling Candy Grams to raise money for the prom in March.

“The prom venue is more expensive this year, and so we needed some extra revenue,” said Mrs. Paige Echols, math teacher, and prom chairman. “It will be held at Atkinson Barn, and that is a more expensive location than previous years.”

“I want to send one to my friend Brian Osborne, and I want to put a note on it saying “I love you” because he’s such a good friend. I also might send one to my girlfriend Makayla Tate so she can have candy,” said Joel Steward IV, sophomore.

A candy gram is a candy cane with a custom note attached to it. They sell for fifty cents or two for a dollar.

“I want send one to my girlfriend Bobby Brownlee because she’s a good person. The notes probably going to say something funny like ‘eat well,'” said Harlie Brooks, sophomore.

A lot of students seem to want to send them to a crush or significant other.

“I want to send one to my anonymous crush/ friend. I have liked him for a while, but I’m not sure how to tell him, so this seems like the perfect way, not to mention romantic,” said an anonymous junior.
