Breakfast at CHS

Students who eat breakfast have a better ability to concentrate and focus.

Breakfast foods include a wide range of different dishes.

“I typically eat cereal for breakfast every morning. When I decide to eat school breakfast, it’s usually a chicken biscuit instead,” Jason Ince, agriculture department, said. “I encourage others to eat breakfast so they can actually focus and stay awake in school.”

“I enjoy eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch for breakfast, “Lily Owens, freshman, said.  “I eat breakfast in the morning before school so my brain actually works in class.”

“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all, so I usually have eggs and sausage for breakfast,” Caleb Tucker, sophomore, said. “I also feel as if my day wouldn’t be the same without breakfast.”

“I like eating waffles and sausage for breakfast,” Tayshaun King, sophomore, said. “I choose to eat breakfast in the morning because it’s healthy for me, and I have better focus in school.”

“I eat either breakfast school or McDonald’s for breakfast almost every morning,” David Rice, senior, said. “If I’m eating school breakfast, I have a Pop- Tart, and if McDonald’s, I have a bacon egg and cheese biscuit.”

“I usually have some type of protein such as meat and eggs with whole wheat toast and coffee,” Mary East, nurse, said.” Breakfast helps start your metabolism for the day in order to get the energy that you need to concentrate during the day,” East said.

“I don’t usually eat breakfast, but when I do, it’s simply just bananas and grapes, it does get your day started but I’ve been without breakfast before and it doesn’t seem to affect me,” Coach James Banks, gym teacher, said.

Mr. Banks loves fruit for breakfast.
