2021-2022 Cheer Season

The 2021-2022 Cheerleaders are proud of their recent cheerleading season.

“I started cheering my ninth grade year,” said freshman Destiney White. “My favorite thing about the cheer season was being able to stay after school and cheer with my friends,”  said White. ” My favorite cheer was “P-S-Y-C-H-E-D,” she said.  “I don’t want to cheer in college because I feel as if I can’t cheer good enough.”.

“I started cheering in elementary school,” said freshman Tracee Saunders. “My favorite thing about the cheer season was the Junior Varsity team as a whole,” said Saunders. ” My favorite cheer was “C-U-T U-P , Cut Up Cut Up,” said Saunders. “There’s a low possibility I will cheer in college,” said Saunders.

“I started cheering in 2017, my eighth grade year,” said senior Ameia Harris. “My favorite thing about the cheer season was having fun with my teammates,” said Harris. “My favorite cheer was “Powerhouse,” said Harris. “I absolutely want to cheer in college, ” said Harris. “I have committed to Howard University and want to try out there.”

“I started cheering in third grade, but I didn’t start taking it serious until my eighth grade year,” said senior Taylynn Fitzgerald. “My favorite thing about the cheer season was definitely hanging out with my team pre-game, and also the bus rides,” said Fitzgerald. “My favorite cheer was “We Are perfection in Football/Basketball,” said Fitzgerald. “I thought about cheering in college, but it honestly depends on what college I go to,” said Fitzgerald.
