This year’s prom is at an exciting new venue and much earlier in the spring.

This years venue is at the Atkinson barn.

 “I prefer it [Atkinson Barn], and I like the look of the interior and exterior,” Madison Swanson, junior, said. “Twenty-five dollars is a reasonable price considering how much work is put into having a good prom.”

“It’s [Atkinson Barn] is a pretty place to have events like prom and weddings,” Hannah Wilson, junior,  said. “Prom is a fun place to have fun with your friends. You get to dance, sing, and spend time with your friends,” Wilson said. 

After-prom is at Chatham High school this year.

“I just want to hangout with everyone,” Wilson said. “I think that the prom ticket prices are valid considering all the money that the school puts into the prom and after prom,” Wilson said.

Once you’re all dressed up, it’s time for pictures.

“Downtown Danville is a very popular place for prom pictures,” Autumn Cassel, junior, said. “This year’s tickets are twenty-five per person. I think it’s a good price for the tickets; it could be even higher in my opinion,” Cassel said.  “Lots of excitement surrounds prom mainly for upperclassmen, but I’m just excited to have a good night with my friends,” Cassel said.

 “The barn has more room than Tuscarora, and I think it’ll be fun,” Mary Ross, junior, said. “I’m excited for all the prizes at After-Prom,” Ross said. “I think the prices for the tickets are a little overpriced but the school needs the money to have a good prom,” Ross said.
